We are working to reopen YOUR Library in a safe and efficient manner. Because the COVID-19 pandemic is every-changing, the following dates/times may change.
June 8 – Outside Book Drop remains open and staff will continue processing your returns. Please understand that items will be quarantined when received and may not be removed from your record immediately. Due dates for all materials currently checked out have been extended to June 30th, so no new fines will be placed on any materials currently out. Please be sure to get those materials returned by June 30th!
June 15 – Curbside services begin! Call us at (845) 436-6067 or email us at fbr@rcls.org to place a hold!
PLEASE NOTE: For the next month or more, only items owned by our library will be available for holds.
June 22 – Online Catalog and the RCLS Gateway mobile app will begin to allow hold requests. You will be able to view our collection online and place holds for yourself (if you are a Fallsburg card holder). When your hold is available, we will notify you when your item(s) are ready to be picked up and to schedule a date/time for pickup. Please adhere to your pickup date/time so we can limit the amount of people picking up materials at one time.
If you are NOT a Fallsburg card holder, but see a Fallsburg item currently available on our shelf (i.e. it is NOT checked out, on hold, or listed as AVAIL-SOON) you can call or email us. We will pull the item and check it out to you and schedule a date/time for you to pick up the item. We only ask that you please return this item to our book drop when you have finished, to make it available to the next patron as quickly as possible.
Our Library Hours are being adjusted and will eventually return to “normal” hours.
Beginning June 15, Curbside services begin:
MONDAY, THURSDAY & FRIDAY: 9:30am-4pm
TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY: 11:30am-6pm
**Please note** We ask that you wear your mask when interacting with our staff – as we will be wearing our masks as well. Any library materials that you need to return, please place them in the book drop rather than hand them to staff.
We understand that these have been, and continue to be, very trying times. We are here to assist you in whatever way we can, as safely as we can. We thank you for your continued support and understanding.
Be sure to watch for information about our Summer Reading Program (which will take a virtual turn this year)!
