What is Kanopy?

Kanopy is a video streaming service now available for Fallsburg Library cardholders. 

What can I view on Kanopy?
Kanopy offers streaming of various award winning and critically acclaimed movies, documentaries, and limited series events, as well as access to ‘The Great Course’ content. It also provides access to Kanopy Kids which includes videos based on popular children’s books and family films.

To get started with Kanopy – click the ‘Kanopy’ image below!

Please note that you MUST have a Fallsburg Library card in order to access Kanopy through the provided link.

After clicking the image below follow these steps: 

Step 1: Click ‘Add Library Card’

Step 2: Type in your Fallsburg Library card number and your pin number (last 4 digits of your phone number – same pin that you use for OverDrive and to place holds system wide).

Step 3: Create an account – there is an option to sign in with Google or Facebook which you can choose to do.

Step 4: Verify your email/Read the conditions of Kanopy usage.Step 5: Click ‘Watch Now’ and you are all set!  

Please note that each person is limited to view up to 3 films per month, and Unlimited Plays within Kanopy Kids is available. You can watch ‘trailers’ for each film without using one of your play credits. Once you select a film to view, you will have 72 hours to view it as many times as you would like, and your ‘play credits’ will be reduced by 1. Play credits CANNOT be carried over. The Fallsburg Library may adjust the number of play credits allowed at any time and without warning. If you have any questions, or need help accessing Kanopy, please give us a call at 845-436-6067 or send us an email fbr@rcls.org.
